Finding Joy
It is such a joy at the Church I attend when members of the family gather on Wednesday evening. There’s coffee, sweets (cookies, cakes, ice cream, muffins, banana bread, pies, etc.) and clear teaching of the Truth of God’s llove.
The crowd is never “large” but hearts are open, minds are focused, and the people who are faithful to the hour seem to enjoy the informality, interaction, intertwining of lives, and interesting conversations. And, when the Teacher opens the Word of God, sharing God’s design for individuals and the Body collectively, it is a time of finding information, insight, illumination, and illustrations that picture what the Church of Jesus Christ is about.
So many of God’s people choose to ignore Wednesday as a day of Prayer, Worship, and Teaching of/Learning about/Maturing in THE FAITH.
God’s most special people often appear in the building on Wednesday evening. It appears there are no regrets. And the Koinonia is palpable.
If your Church has Wednesday evening activities, give them a try. You might find exactly what you are looking for in Life.
