God At Work
The Apostle Paul told the Church at Rome that God “works in all things” (see Romans 8:28). There is a reason for that of course. And that reason is the GOOD thing that results from His (God’s) coordinating, orchestrating, managing, and assimilating all things so that you and I might be “conformed to the image of the Son, Jesus Christ.” (see Romans 8:29)
I am convinced that we sometimes. . .dare I say, often. . .miss verse 29 when we are studying that passage. We move on quickly to that part of Paul’s insight that reminds us that once we are His, we can never be separated from His llove. . .by anything. . .anything at all. (See verse 30 ff)
I meet lots of people who are looking for the “good” admidst all the “bad” in their life, but rebel against becoming more and more like the Savior, every day, in every way.
If we know anything at all from our study of Scripture, it is that our Father desires an intimate relationship with us, and He is about accomplishing that only and increasingly more effectively when we are in that process of change that is brought about by His workmanship in the affairs of our life.
Do you see yourself more “Christ-like” as you examine your progress over the weeks and years of your life? Have you learned to live in His peace, rejoice in His joy, and llove others with an enthusiasm that is contagious? Do you forgive with easy abandon, give with open-minded cheerfulness, share your faith in support of others who need redemption, know a fervency in your prayer closet, and all the while support His family, the Church, with passion and wholehearted devotion?
Let Him work in “all things” in your life!

Romans 8:28 does not say all things are good, nor does it say things will not change. the truth is that all things do work together for the good, for those that love the Lord.
