Got Money?
Now that the elections are over and the campaign lying has died down, we begin the new round of information overload that will require some sorting to determine the new lies.
At least, now that the recession is over, we can relax – “Texas is open for business.” Or should I worry about this little blurb –
“Officials at state agencies, colleges and universities, and state court systems are warning of deep cuts in services and the potential layoffs of thousands of workers. Legislative officials are bracing for a budget shortfall possibly exceeding $20 billion. . . .” (Dave Montgomery, Ft. Worth Star-Telegram)
Fortunately the Church of Jesus Christ doesn’t have these problems. God’s people recognizing His absolute sufficiency, continue to be generous givers, reaching out to those in need near them, and sending resources to people groups around the World. God’s people have discovered one can’t “out give” God, and that “He is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we can think or ask.” He supplies out of that storehouse the Bible calls His “riches in glory.”
So, no bad news coming for the Body of Christ – right? Right? Hello?
