Thought For The Day

High School, No Wait, Jr. High School

Who’s going to speak to the Congress of the United States? Who gets to make that decision? Interestingly enough, seems to me it ought to be the leaders of Congress. Shouldn’t they ask the President if he minds? Two answers: Sure, that would be nice. Why? This is a CO-EQUAL branch of Government. They can invite whoever they like, as far as I can tell from a Constitutional perspective. But here we are. Mr. Netanyahu is coming, and our Jr. High School acting Government  is arguing over who is going to listen and who is not. Is it just a side-note that it is the Nation of Israel who has most to lose in the outcome of the moves being negotiated by the United States regarding issues with Iran. I am certain that our Government is certain that we can trust Iran and its leaders. That is their history, right?

I have long since reached the point where I hate trusting our Nation into the hands of arguing children – so to speak. I could be a bit more comfortable if this were not an on-going thing from people who keep “evolving” in their understanding of the affairs of life. I do understand that all who come to power do so within the will of God. (See Romans 13:1-7)

Since all the “affairs” of life are already settled by the Author of life, and He can be trusted to implement the correct decision in every matter, I am learning to spend less time than ever being concerned about America’s future from a political perspective. Don’t hear me saying that I will not campaign and vote for men and women of character, maturity and faith. I just plan to worry less, or, if I can, to be brutally Biblical, not at all. Let me encourage you to do the same.

I am anxious to hear Prime Minister Netanyahu. He really is at the center of the World (Jerusalem, Israel). Don’t you think?
