I Got It Wrong

I didn’t get to hear the Republican Party debate last night – Preacher kept us long and late in Bible Study, but I did read some about it this morning. I was sure Mitt and Rick were talking backstage about the minions of the Enemy and the work of Christ’s Church in the following exchange –

“Have they been brought under control?” Romney asked, talking across the room to Perry. “It’s still too early to tell,” Perry responded. “They’re serious, they’re mean.” (Associated Press)

I learn now that they were talking about the wildfires in Texas. Same difference. The Enemy comes into one’s life like a wildfire (or flood) and is horrifically destructive. He’s serious. . .and he’s mean. Those who are real “firefighters” must be constantly at arms with the Truth (the sword of the Spirit). The battle between good and evil rages on, and we Believers must be constantly and consistently on the fire lines.
