Here is the progress:
Our society is on this simple continuum. You can choose where you think we are.

Sola Scriptura (Scripture alone) is abandoned.
Everything is turned upside down – bad becomes good, good becomes bad (abortion is good – freedom to choose; morality is bad – it inhibits our freedom; etc., etc., etc.)
Tolerance is the demand from the wicked.
Intolerance becomes the reality for those who refuse to tolerate evil.
Persecution begins.
