Learning
Never let it be said that the United States of America is a slow learner. . .but –
We obviously have not learned anything from Greece. I wonder if we will have time to learn anything from France.
PARIS (AP) — The French government presented a budget Friday that was heavy on taxes — including a controversial 75 percent income rate on high earners. . . (Yahoo News)
For those among us who are convinced our troubles are just an election and a few acts of Congress away from being fixed. . .well, we need to learn better from those around us.
The United States of America has been a totally unique experiment – but the woes that are visited on us are the result of the inevitable mistakes that follow the attempted, and mostly successful, overthrow of God in the lives of men. The flame of righteousness is almost out, adherence to Truth is lost in rebellion, and self-love has captured the hearts and minds of most (read: the righteous) who stand between mankind and the judgment of God.
Is it too late to recover? Better minds than mine are working on that issue. You might want to pay attention.
