Living Every Day
In Acts 11:23, Barnabas was sent to Antioch. “When he arrived, and saw the grace of God, he was glad, and he encouraged all of them to remain true to the Lord with a firm resolve of the heart. . . .” What does that mean?
We live with a purpose. It ought to be to demonstrate the grace of God. God’s purpose is to establish the will of His Spirit in you. He can and will do that, given the opportunity. Isaiah 14:24 – As I have planned, so it will be; as I have purposed it so it will happen.”
We live with His promise. What is the promise on which you stake your present and future? We make promises and then break them. We have had promises made to us and never fulfilled. The Scripture tell us that, “He will never leave us or forsake us.” (Hebrews 13:5b)
We live with His provision. What if you had access to unlimited provision in relationship to something you use: Gasoline, food, money, medical care? Yet, we have unlimited provision of God’s power. He empowers our ministry, enriches our spiritual knowledge and condition, sustains our life and well-being, and cares for us beyond measure.
The riches of Heaven’s Kingdom are ours. The mercy of God abounds. The Truth of His Word declares we are His forever, and nothing can separate us from Him. (see Romans 8:35-39)
Those few realities should allow each of us to live “with a firm resolve of he heart.”
