Money Wins Again

What is the most important issue on the mind of the American public? Money!

“Six in 10 voters picked the economy as the most important issue facing the nation in an Associated Press exit poll. None of the other top issues — energy, Iraq, terrorism and health care — was selected by more than one in 10.”  [Associated Press]

We love our money! President-elect Obama raised over $700 million dollars for his campaign. That’s enough to fix a few problems all by itself, but if that is what it takes to make us think our money problems will get solved, we’ll pay.

I am sure you noticed that “morality” is not even on the issues list. There is no doubt in my mind that we have taken several steps forward on the slippery slope of immorality which has, at some point in man’s history, destroyed every Nation. This “grand experiment” we call America, founded on the Truth of God’s Word, is headed for collapse.

There is no doubt this is an historic election – and it is a wonderful thing that a “black” man has succeeded in capturing the highest position in the land, but let’s also note what is much more significant, he is perhaps the most politically liberal man to ever hold that office. Political positions he has supported are anti-Biblical, and he has the authority to make changes in our Nation that will affect us for years to come. . .if there are years to come.

Those who come to authority are placed there under the Sovereign hand of God. We’re about to reap what we have sown, or worse – Hosea said, “Indeed, they sow the wind and reap the whirlwind.”
