Money Woes
Michael Abramowitz and Jon Cohen, Washington Post Staff Writers. in an article on Monday, February 4, 2008; page A01, said, “Public views of the national economy are now more negative than at any point in nearly 15 years. . .more than eight in 10 Americans describe the economy as “not so good” or “poor. . .”
The Word of God is clear, we are to work hard and consistently. There is no “free ride” in God’s economy for anyone who is able-bodied and capable of turning in a day’s work. Providing for one’s self and one’s family is not just a good idea, it is mandatory.
But God is generous to a fault. When we have done the best we can, under the circumstances in which we find ourselves, His promise in Luke 6:38 stands like a beacon in the dark — Give, and it will be given to you; a good measure–pressed down, shaken together, and running over– will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you.
If you’re struggling with that, test it!
