Packing Heat

I’m looking for the “down side.” I know that there are folks who are just plain scared of guns – rifles, shotguns, pistols – and don’t want them around. Unfortunately, no matter what laws are passed, it will be very difficult – impossible really – to rid the world of guns.

Oklahoma is moving toward joining other States that allow “open carry.” Good for them? I think so.

Law abiding citizens of Oklahoma who want to publicly carry a pistol on their hip or in a shoulder holster may do so under a bill overwhelmingly approved on Wednesday by the state House of Representatives. (ABC News)

It is the non-law-abiding citizens (or non-citizens) that we need to be concerned about. Rest assured, some, perhaps many, are armed and have been since the beginning of firearms.

I am never concerned about who is armed – my trust is in the Lord. When one believes he is under the protection of our Heavenly Father and His ministering angels (see Hebrews 1:14), worry is a waste of valuable time.
