    I remember reading The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn and enjoying it immensely. I lived near Hannibal, Missouri at the time. In any case, I don’t remember being offended, damaged, pre-disposed to racial prejudice, or taken with any other such problem because of the experience. “. . .publishers print a new version of Mark Twain’s classic ‘The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn’ without racial slurs. . . .”  TimeOnline.com In thinking about our concern regarding offensive words in literature, however, I don’t know any book that is more offensive than the Bible. Maybe we need to remove some words from it. I would guess the most offending word in God’s book is “sin,” and…
