An article in today’s Star-Telegram by Susan McFarland about racing pigeons caught my attention. That is not a subject that normally intrigues me, but it started that line of thinking which does. Ms. McFarland was writing about a family (the Lindseys) who raise pigeons and gave several facts about that operation. Here, judge for yourself – Once their home has been established, the pigeons are driven a little farther and released, progressively flying from 100 to 600 miles.
