Patriot?

A group of people are led to gather to Worship and pray for our Nation, or at least that is the “candy stick” held out to what seems to be “infant” Believers or folks intellectually vacant regarding what Worship and prayer are about. The same leaders, and those who follow,  just a few days past, attacked the Capitol building in Salem, Oregon, smashing glass doors, scuffling with State Troopers and Salem Police, flooding part of the building and wreaking havoc in and around the building and neighborhood. I wasn’t there, so I am relying on the “news” reports on television and internet. I have not spoken with, or communicated by any means with the leadership of this group.

So, let me be clear (to quote a famous man). Believers ( those that are born again into new life brought about by the ransom of God through the death of Jesus Christ on Calvary’s cross) are expected (required) to live according to the Truth of Scripture. At no point, and for no purpose, can the kind of behavior demonstrated in Salem or other places (this is not an isolated event of un- similar behavior) at other times, be a part of God’s will. Rioting, which is an accurate assessment of this kind of event, is never – LISTEN – never  that which the Scripture teaches as appropriate for those who are children of God.

Supporting President Trump’s Presidency, until his term expires, is a choice regarding how one can vote or peaceably gather to make clear one’s (the group) position regarding political ideas, and the legality of actions taken by those in positions of “authority.” Destroying property, fighting with legal authorities, illegally trespassing, looting, burning, and injuring others, is the exact opposite of God’s design for those who would Worship Him, or come to Him in prayer expecting a Father’s ear, insight, and instruction.

Please do not be dragged into behaviors that indicate one is not “Christian” at all. A group of genuine Believers is never moved  to violence by the Spirit of God. While some Believers are misled and ignorant of Truth, and thereby captured in the chaos of the Enemy, all such actions as those by Patriot Prayer are an anathema to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Truth is a sword to the innermost being, piercing and dividing asunder. . .(see Hebrews 4:12)
