Pay Up
I’m thinking about putting in a bid to buy the Texas Ranger Baseball Club. I am sure I don’t understand how this all works, but evidently someone who owns part of the team now is not going to get paid, so it must be that one will get them for less than they are supposedly worth. But then, it is the Rangers.
I heard on the radio this morning an ad from a company who said if you owe past due Federal taxes (income tax), talk to them (this company) and the Government will “settle” with you for less than you owe. I must not understand that process. If that is true, maybe I should stop paying my taxes for a few years, then get a settlement and save a few bucks.
One thing I do understand is this – Sin pays wages. In case you have not heard, the wage is death, and there is no “settlement offer” nor is there a Court where you can negotiate less than full payment.
There is an “out,” however. A Savior has already died for you. God accepts His substitution payment on your behalf when you accept His grace. I suggest you get crackin’ on that before the time to accept the offer expires. (Need help with that? Let me know.)
