Phone Life
Sometimes I long for the days when the phone hung on the wall or sat on the desk There was no handheld “phone book,” calendar, messaging, news, weather, apps, games, maps, notes, photos, camera, clock, compass, music, QR reader, and there was no necessity of having it with you, on, and working 24/7.
It seems that in the last few years a significant portion of life is dependent on one’s cell phones. People who have one tend to get increasingly dependent on it as time goes by.
Today my cell phone lost it’s mind. It would not work for me, but worked by itself doing things I have yet been unable to figure out. I could not text, make calls, check my calendar, get information about the weather, or read the “news.” What a bummer.
I am glad my contact with my Heavenly Father does not depend on anything other than Him, He hears, answers, handles business, expresses llove, provides peace, joy, comfort, hope, and clear instructions 24/7/365.
Of course I have to be willing to make contact. While He puts dozens (hundreds/thousands ? ?) of “notifications” and reminders before me every day, I have to take time to respond. And while I may not ask for things everyday, I certainly want to be thankful (to Him personally) for all that comes my way by His grace and llove.
You do too, don’t you?
