I think we have reached the place in our society where there is a “treatment facility” or “rehab” for any kind of misbehavior. It is not surprising that when we (read: United States of America) publically revile the Word of God and embrace all the ugliness God so clearly warns us about, that we want to find a secular solution for a spiritual problem.

One has to admit that statement is about as generic as can be achieved. So, let me set the record straight – this is a leave of absence for being morally weak and lax, and failing to maintain the discipline required of adults who live in a free society ordered by laws under a Judeo-Christian ethic. The only “cure” is a change of heart and mind brought about by a supernatural work of God in the life of the individual. Location is not an issue – God’s works everywhere, all the time.

If this whole unseemly scenairo were an isolated event. . ., but it isn’t. It is epidemic. As we lose our moral compass and values, we lose our Nation. We should weep when we read these narratives – for to whom much was given, much was expected.
