Restart – New Year

2025 is here. As I write this we are 5 days in and The Lord’s Day is here! This year will be my eighty-first year and I look forward  to the exciting thought that I will be even closer to my eternal home. I am challenging myself, and invite you to join me in starting this year with an old prayer that is refreshingly new. It is found in Psalm 51, and every time I read the verses leading up to the Prayer I am challenged by God’s Spirit to renew my vows of obedience and llove. Life is forever changing for each of us, and we waver at times in our absolute commitment to llove the Lord our God with all that lies within us.  The Enemy, regardless of our age or status in life, is out to destroy the joy and comfort available to us when we live with clean hands and lloving consistency to our calling in Christ Jesus.

In verses 1,2,  and 10 there lies a simple prayer (in the midst of the whole prayer of David) you can pray at any moment, any day, all year. Keep it handy.
