Saving Lives
I needed to re-certify in CPR and AED use, so I took the opportunity to do so in a classroom setting. The class was full of students who wanted to enter the Health Care field in some manner. For many, even the simple procedures one uses to “save a life” were almost beyond their understanding and motor skills. Since I have been trained in CPR for 30 plus years, it seemed more simple to me.
I am reminded of how difficult it is for many believers to be the source for “life saving Truth” by sharing their faith. Opening the Word of God and sharing the Truth is a quite simple process. Every believer ought to be able to provide the narrative of how they came to faith, and the reality of Christ living by the power of His Spirit inside them on a daily basis. Yet the reality is, many can’t. . .or won’t, and as a result there are those around us who have yet to hear the Good News.
Let me encourage you to find a class, a mentor, a plan (there are dozens of plans) that will provide you with the skill to present the Truth so that our Sovereign Father can impute the righteousness of Christ to those He calls from darkness and death, to light and life.
It won’t hurt you to learn CPR either. You never know when the opportunity to utilize those skills will present itself.
