The Birds
Remember the Alfred Hitchcock movie about the birds? I thought that was a scary movie, but then I was just a kid. . .teenager maybe. . .or young adult. (When did that movie come out? I know I could look it up, but I’m busy)
Watching the flocks of birds that cover the trees and power lines around my home and office, sometimes I think we’re moving in that direction.
This morning on the radio I heard a brief interview and later read this note:
Not only did thousands drop dead on New Year’s Eve in central Arkansas, but now about 450 blackbirds have been killed 300 miles away in nearby Louisiana. (Third World.com)
In the interview, the person providing the “news” said that the death of these birds is part of God’s revelation in relationship to the “beginning of the end of the world” which is coming on May 21, 2011. He went on to say that the Bible talks about these kinds of things.
Well, I couldn’t find it. . . until I looked in my “special bible” at Probalations 34:4, which unequivocably states –“When you see large numbers of dead birds in Arkansas and Louisiana, the end is near.”
Give me a break, will ‘ya! The Scripture is clear that Christ is coming to claim His Bride and ultimately establish a new Heaven and Earth (and I eagerly await that reality). There’s no mention of “dead birds” as a precursor.
I think I’ll forgo taking my vacation in April.
