The World Before Christmas

It’s the LAW! People who chose Godliness over Godlessness, were bound by the strict laws of God before the advent of Christ. By His life and sacrificial death, the law was abolished as a standard, and God’s grace was available by faith alone, in Christ alone. The standard changed (a new Covenant) and we became responsible for being obedient to the will and purpose of God. Everything needed to accomplish that with certainty and perfection was included in the Gift given (see Isaiah 9:6ff) so that we are no longer chained to the Law, but, rather have become the Bride of the Lamb of God, who is God, and filled with the Spirit who is God, so that we inherit the Kingdom of God.

Failure to know and/or accept that narrative, so little known or understood by humanity on this Earth, keeps most in chains either to the Law, or to the wiles and whims of the Evil One. Ignorance of Truth saps life from those who could be redeemed by the Son (the Gift). Once hearing and understanding the Truth regarding the birth of Jesus, and the death of Jesus on Calvary’s cross, becoming a part of the family of God is a step of faith away.

That Truth is the most essential reason for the Season. All the gifts given, love shared, good will, great times of gathering families and friends, wonderful music, and momentary tranquility  among men, is made small by the miracle of God’s Grace. Genuine llove (God’s Llove) obliterates the “good deeds” of men, and annihilates the  “trappings of a Holiday” that bares no reference to “the Gift of God” for all mankind.
