Thought For The Day

Time To Vote

Suppose you were a juror in the Zimmerman case in Florida. And, suppose you were inclined to vote “not guilty.” Would you do so? There is not much possibility that you would be unaware of the constant rumor that if George Zimmerman is not convicted of “something” there will be riots in the streets.

Who are these people who want riots in the streets? Why would anyone who is interested in “equal protection under the law” even consider such a thing? The truth is, Courts and courtrooms are under assault to do whatever is necessary to placate the loudest and often most wrong and/or violent among us.

We see that in relationship to the homosexual agenda. We see that in relationship to the abortion crowd. We see that in relationship to the DOMA decisions. We see that in relationship to “prayer in schools,” “Merry Christmas,” and the posting of “anything Biblical in public places.”

Our Representative Republic, a Nation under the “rule of law” is slipping away faster than one would have ever imagined. Is the “experiment” that was the founding of this Nation almost over? It’s hard to think otherwise.

Perhaps the wisdom of Malachi 2:17 has escaped us. “You have wearied the Lord with your words; Yet you say, ‘In what way have we wearied Him?’ In that you say, ‘Everyone who does evil is good in the sight of the Lord, and He delights in them.'”

If you are not “safe in the arms of Jesus” (redeemed by the blood of the Lamb), be afraid. Be very afraid.
