Tragedy
I am not uncertain regarding the tragic manner in which people transition from this life to the next. I attended the funeral recently of a long time friend who was 91 years old, and a strong warrior in the kingdom of our Father. Her earthly life was not lost in a tragedy, but for her family and friends. Every day there are many (a soft word) who make the transition to the next life and we note those who are our family, friends, acquaintances. When a major tragedy occurs, almost of all who hear, are disturbed, saddened, and are reminded that the transition is a real and constant reminder that they (we) are subject to the same out come regardless of our readiness.
The transition for so many this past week should be a “wake up” call to all who hear or know. Either we are part of the family of God redeemed by the blood of Calvary, or we are not. There is no middle ground. I believe it is fair to say that all who transitioned in this incredible tragedy were expecting the night would give way to a bright tomorrow and their life would continue as it had every night before.
Those of us who are Christ’s offspring, born again into everlasting life, should take note of our calling to sharing the Good News. NOW… NOW before it is too late.
