Wasting Time
In my never-ending quest to know everything, I ran across a site that listed the top ten time wasters on the Internet. Curiosity getting the better of me, I had to look, and in doing so found a very interesting item, or should I say activity, that could easily take some time. Of course, I don’t have time to waste so I quickly (well, rather quickly) moved on to writing this note. I won’t let you get sucked into that time-waster by giving you the name of the game, but moving that falling sand from one place to another could be addictive.
Unfortunately, wasting time is a real problem for many folks in our society. When there is so much to learn, so much to see, and so many tasks to accomplish, we must not waste a single moment. Don’t hear incorrectly – having a good time and playing games is not necessarily a waste of time. We must however focus our primary attention on our failing family structure, the significant increases in violations of our laws (the United States of America is a Republic based on laws), Government abuses of our basic law guide (the Constitution of the United States), our slide into uncontrolled immorality – especially regarding the handling of financial resources, and perhaps the most serious of all from my perspective, the movement of the Church of Jesus Christ away from the totality of His revelation to His people.
We have no time to waste in getting our attention focused on God, America, and our society. If we don’t, our movement away from God, and our failure to continue the great American experiment, will lead to the destruction of our society. I pray we have not wasted too much time already!
