Which Do You Want?

Justicenoun,  just behavior or treatment: a concern for justice, peace, and genuine respect for people. the quality of being fair and reasonable: the justice of his case. the administration of the law or authority in maintaining this: (Justice) the personification of justice, usually a blindfolded woman holding scales and a sword.

Mercycompassion or forgiveness shown toward someone whom it is within one’s power to punish or harm:| the mercies of God. an event to be grateful for, especially because its occurrence prevents something unpleasant or provides relief from suffering.

There is a flock (minimizing the significant number of people involved in this process) of people in our society who are screaming (demanding) for Justice. Sometimes it (the screaming) is brought about by events which occur that do not fit well with one’s desire for immediate resolution or retribution. Time is always a factor in that kind of Justice and usually the issue, properly solved, takes a “long” time. Justice, if it comes, often comes slowly.

God’s perfect Holiness requires that all persons must be justified to enter Heaven. That is subject matter most people choose to ignore. Scripture clearly declares that unjustified mankind cannot enter the infinite future of Heaven, the place God has prepared for those He has justified. Mercy is a gift of llove and grace God has provided that ensures every person’s justification. It is a gift no individual deserves, and is therefore purchased for each individual by means of the sacrificial blood of Jesus Christ on Calvary’s cross. Rebellious, disobedient mankind faces separation from God forever without the grace and mercy offered freely to all. (see John 3:16; Romans 10:9-10,13)

The simple TRUTH is that every human being will ultimately face our Creator – and will receive justice, because God is Just. Those who are “in Christ” (redeemed, saved, born again) will have been justified by the blood of the Savior, Jesus Christ, Lord of all, and enter the portals of Heaven forever in God’s presence.
