Who’s Watching
If only Believers could learn that the actions we take have an impact on the World. When we share the Good News, our Father draws people from darkness to light, moving them from death to life – and that is our calling.
We must constantly remind ourselves, however, that when we are disobedient to the revealed Word of God, the World is quick to take notice.
The Episcopal Church is meeting here this week. It is a sad commentary on our Faith when Believers are divided and fighting.
The breakaway group believes that the Episcopal Church has abandoned biblical and church traditions in several ways, including naming an openly gay man as bishop of the Diocese of New Hampshire. Those who stayed with the U.S. church sued Iker’s group over which side is eligible to use church buildings and other property of the Episcopal Diocese of Fort Worth. Jones, star-telegram.com
Homosexuality is a sin. We must not bring the unrepentant sinner into Church leadership. Christ, Himself, told Believers to settle our differences via His Truth and Spirit, and never take our divisions to “civil court.”
We bring shame and hurt to the cause of Christ when we are disobedient.
No doubt prayer for those who are our brethren in the Episcopal Church is in order.
