Thought For The Day

Who’s Watching Who

Some people, those who suffer from a little paranoia, believe that they are being watched. It could be the NSA or the IRS or one of those drones overhead. I am beginning to believe they are not so much paranoid as perceptive.

The Truth is, you are being watched. Hebrews talks about that “great crowd of witnesses” that have gone before us whose lives we can watch to remind us how we ought to live. When one sees the faithfulness of those saints who have experienced such struggles and difficulties, it motivates one to live a more Godly life.

We must recognize as well that our life is a witness to those who watch us, and will follow after us. I have long believed that everyone is being watched by someone. Perhaps it is your spouse, or you child,  or your friend, and how you walk through the episodes of  your life in a witness to your commitment and faithfulness to God, your family, your Church. What the watcher sees in you will motivate them positively. . .or negatively, depending on what they see as you face reality.

Surround yourself with Godly, positive, hard-working people. Watch faithful men and women. Learn from their example. And. . .here is the main issue – live so that your life is worthy of watching.
