You Lie!

What we have here is an emotional outburst (as described by the perpetrator), a “stunned” cadre of folks who lie with regularity (politicians from every political party and persuasion), an apology, and a national media who will ride this pony till long after a natural death has occurred. 

The Truth is, lying is a ploy that the Father of Lies (see John 8:44) uses to damage and destroy. Whether it is in the Church, the home, society, even the Congress of the United States (not even the wisest among us can choose who is lying and who is not), lies create an environment where trust cannot exist and damaged relationships are the outcome.

While this is an unfortunate and foolish action, it points clearly to the fact that our Nation is on the slippery slope of failure to maintain a Christian (read: Godly, holy, righteous) framework within which we can continue to be the greatest Nation in the history of the World. When we realize that lies are the framework on which our life is precariously balanced, the end is near.
