Be Sure!
I don’t know if that State District Judge in Ft. Worth ever handles, or in some past job has handled, DWI cases, but it is interesting to see how she is handling (via her attorney) the one in which she is the defendant. I can’t help but wonder if she has ever had to deal with a defendant in her Court who said his blood was drawn in unsanitary circumstances. I would almost wager that if she has, it was not a top priority in the final outcome.
The Truth of God’s Word always fits life’s circumstances. In Numbers 32:23 we are told: “be sure your sin will find you out.” It seems incredible to me that one who is involved so intimately with the law would violate that law and then make every attempt to cover it up. Wouldn’t that person know that justice often prevails and wouldn’t that person be pleased? It is, after all, that person’s profession–upholding the law.
Of course she may not be guilty. I hope she isn’t. But, if she’s innocent, prove that. Then there will be no need to suppress evidence. If she isn’t innocent, recognize that she has been “found out.” No doubt the DA will allow her to plead to the charge of “obstruction of a roadway” or some other silly thing and she can pay a small fine and in a month or two everything will be back to normal. Everyone knows one gets justice in exact porportion to their ability to pay for it.
