Death is as real as life. On Monday next, the Preacher will join in laying to rest in the National Cemetery the remains of a Marine who lived into his nineties. That is the way all Marines (and all others who serve in the United States military) should see the end of their life here on Earth. The realities of life, however, dictate that some will die at the hands of enemies of the United States of America. God forbid that those deaths should come through negligence on the part of the Commander-in-Chief, and those who are in control, who fail to perform at the utmost height of competence.
