Every time I think we have reached a new low in society, there is something new (to me at least) and I find myself wondering how we get to this point. Attorney’s are reporting a significant increase in divorce cases where the struggle is no longer over who get the furniture, car, house, paintings or cash (or even the children), but who gets the pet. We have to be pretty far gone when so many are willing to leave behind, without so much as a whimper, wife or husband, who they have probably promised to llove and cherish forever, but fight it out in court regarding who gets the dog…
