Darkness and Light
Most Believers are familiar with the power of darkness. Not so many are as familiar with the power of Light.
The Enemy, whom Scripture calls the Ruler of the Powers of Darkness (Ephesians 6:12), and who manages the life of un-believers, is almost always active in the life of Believers as well. Perhaps you are familiar with discouragement, fear, inattentiveness, and deception. Selling the Enemy short when it comes to the power of darkness is to enhance his ability to exercise that power in your life.
Most of us are clearly experienced with the power of darkness. We have seen it, felt it, partaken in it, and know the scope of its damage in our World.
God’s design for us is to know and practice the power of Light. 1 John 1:5 says, “He (G0d) is light and there is no darkness in Him.”
There is power in the Light of God’s Spirit within us. From the peace that surpasses understanding, to productivity (think fruit) empowered by Him.
There is power in the Light of God’s Word – Psalm 97:7-11
There is power in the Light of Obedience – Romans 6:16
There is Power in the Light of Fellowship in the Church – 1 Peter 2:17; 1 John 2:9-10; 1 John 4:7.
Let there be LIGHT!!!
