Jump!

There are still a lot of things I look forward to doing in life – should Christ delay His return. One of them is definitely not bungee jumping. Here is one of the reasons –

The 22-year-old jumped from Victoria Falls Bridge, 365 feet above the river, and after the cord snapped — with her feet tied together — she maneuvered her way to the bank. . . (Yahoo News) presumably just ahead of the crocks and before tumbling down the waterfall.

It takes a bit of weirdness (in my opinion) to jump off anything taller than the bed, but then there are folks who really like the “adrenaline rush.” Some of them, for example,  are crazy enough to ride motorcycles up and down the streets and highways. One might as well invite being smashed – on the rocks, or across the intersection.

It is not unlike those Believers who want the rush of disobedience (sin). While some “sins” create small consequences in our life, and others some very major difficulties, all are areas wherein He who lloves us most will bring discipline. (See Hebrews 12:6)

So here is my counsel (for those who want it) – Stay away from sin, and don’t be jumping off any bridges.
