Mothers, don’t let your kids. . .
I wish it were still ” grow up to be cowboys.” Unfortunately, the stakes have changed over the years. With the newest British import on MTV, we are further inundated with drugs, sex, and lack of consequences.
You need to know that if you kids (read: teenagers) are watching MTV, you’ve got a real loser in SKINS (the British slang for “rolling papers”).
I agonize over the trash that is on TV, in the movies, and pervasive throughout our society – and it’s effect on teens.
As parents, as the Church, as good citizens of this great Nation, we have a responsibility for those among us who are yet immature. If we are not paying attention to what our teens are doing, we will pay attention when the consequences come to harvest.
The Scripture says, “Be sure, your sins will catch up with you.” (Numbers 32:23)
Pray for our kids. Watch what your kids are watching, reading, playing, and doing. No one else will really care.
