Do you ever have trouble figuring out the U. S. Supreme Court’s thinking? I know I do. Their ruling announced today (April 28, 2009) regarding what can and cannot be said on live television is a win, I suppose, for those who are opposed to profanity and crude, vulgar language. But at least two of the judges indicated that the ban will not last long. According to Associated Press, “Justice Clarence Thomas sided with the majority Tuesday, but nevertheless noted that the previous decision and an even earlier case “were unconvincing when they were issued, and the passage of time has only increased doubt regarding their continued validity.” “Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg,…
