Retirement Time
I guess it is time for me to retire my concerns about our Country. Ken Thomas, writer for Associated Press, said today, “President Barack Obama‘s new fuel and emission standards for cars and trucks. . . ,” are being announced. WOW! Is there no problem this man cannot solve?
He’s going to find “common ground” on the abortion issue. He has already saved the banking and insurance industry. Wall Street is back. Only God could calculate how many jobs have been “saved” and the promise of millions of new jobs is still on the table. The auto industry has been reborn, well almost, maybe. He is ending the war in Iraq, changing our military leadership in Afghanistan so that pesky problem will end soon. He is talking with those nasty little dictators from Chavez to Castro to Amadinajab, and they are coming around. The Earth has started to cool (well we haven’t proved that yet, but surely it will happen) as if it had been too hot in the first place (there is a downside though, Al Gore may lose his job). America has come together – one nation, one people, we are whole again, and now that the borders are no longer porous we can provide amnesty to illegals and grandfather them into the “American dream.” He will soon give us a new Supreme Court Justice who will undoubtedly not be deterred in his thinking by narrow minded morality. I expect the announcement that Social Security and Medicare have been fully funded through the end of this century to be announced any day now.
I think my criticisms and concerns may no longer be needed.
