The Enemy Strikes. . .Again

A key committee in the Democrat-controlled House of Representatives is moving to eliminate the God reference from the oath administered to witnesses testifying before the panel, as part of a new rules package expected to be approved this week, according to a draft obtained exclusively by Fox New. The rules proposal places the words “so help you God” in red brackets, indicating they are slated to be cut. (Fox News)

In acts small and large, in Government, Education, Politics, even Churches (so called) the attempt to remove any and all references to “God” continues. The Nation founded on the principles of God’s Word, and, by any measure, blessed by Him over the entirety of it’s existence, seem Hell-bent on removing from our society any reference to Him or His Word.

Anyone who is surprised by that fact is just not paying attention (and so many are not). It is my opinion that the Founding Fathers of the United States of America would respond to the choices made in the last half of the 20th Century, and the first 19 years of this Century regarding the importance of having  a “Christian Nation,” with words like these: “You people must be out of your mind.” And while they might phrase it differently, they understood that no Nation can successfully navigate on this terrestrial ball without Biblical principles, leadership,  and character.

Our beloved Nation and society appears somewhat similar to the game “Jenga.” That which those who have gone before have built is being destroyed one piece at a time. It has taken us almost two and one half centuries to reach this point. Unabated, full collapse will be faster.
