I am reminded of the old saying – “That’s the pot calling the kettle black.” That may not make a lot of sense unless you are among those of us who still use pots and kettles over a backwoods campfire somewhere. I guess one should not be surprised when portions of our society will defend an individual regardless the depth of their sin, and castigate another person irrespective of their sin.  The reality is that all sin is a violation of God’s holiness, and while various sins may produce greater difficulty and distress in our eyes, it’s all the same in God’s eyes because to be guilty of one is to be guilty of all.
