Thought For The Day

Determining Value

Knowing how much something is worth is not the easiest task in the world. If one is into buying antiques or someone else’s discards (think estate sales, garage sales, auctions of all types), it is valuable to be knowledgeable in a multitude of areas.

I am often disappointed that seemingly many people do not know the value of their Church family and the joy to be found in building relationships with one another in that family. Perhaps because we have failed in those relationships so often, people are afraid to commit to one another. Because we have not been faithful to genuine llove, we are hesitant to trust, to care, to be vulnerable.

Hence we miss something of inestimable value. God designed us (people) for family life. Mom, dads, siblings sharing life together in the home, and moms, dads, and siblings sharing life together with other moms, dad, and siblings, in a warm Spiritual family of believers ministering to, caring for, and lloving one another. It’s a rich environment you can’t afford to miss.
