Earthquake

I have never felt an earthquake. I am glad, I think. I know it would be a unique experience for so many of us, but it is also a bit scary. I am wondering if the people who think California is going to fall into the Ocean are right.

A 6.0 earthquake rocked the San Francisco Bay Area shortly after 3:00 am on Sunday morning causing damage to buildings and sending at least 70 people to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries. (Yahoo News)

The Bible says that there will be an increasing number of earthquakes in the closing day before Christ returns. There have been a lot of earthquakes over a lot of years – so I don’t know that there is any reason for alarm. What I do know is that there are a multitude of ways the World could come to a close. According to Revelation, everything will be destroyed and God will create a new Heaven and Earth. Being prepared for that is much more important than preparation for the next earthquake.

While I am well prepared for the end of the World, I am not planning to move to California.
