Thought For The Day

Failure

If you have been wondering what happened to your latest Lloveletter, I am glad to hear it. My trusty MacBook Pro went on vacation, and getting it back to work actually took a couple of weeks. But we are back and I am eager to write what I hope will be meaningful in your life and Spiritual Maturity. Being without the ability to do that has been a bothersome thing for me, and I confess I thought maybe the end of Lloveletters was in sight.

As always it reminded me of something, and in this case it was those folks who are faithful to do what is right and good in the Kingdom of God – and then go through an experience where they lose sight of their calling and move toward no longer being involved in the life of a Church family, pray less and less, and can’t find time to spend in the Word of God. The current “virus” epidemic is a good example of the first step to failure – stopping regular attendance at the gathering of the Family of God.  That is often followed by a lack of Bible study and prayer, and a focus on “distractions” rather than growth toward being conformed to the image of Christ (see Romans 8:29).

Now that my Mac is. . .dare I say – regenerated, I find that I am eager to get back to sharing my thoughts, and those of the Preacher, with you. Our hope is that the written words are vehicles which drive you to the Scripture, to prayer, and to the family of God that so desperately needs your attention and care. There were a few days there when I considered just not writing anymore. I soon discovered what a loss that is for me. . .and maybe someone who needs a bit of encouragement or understanding, during these difficult days on this Planet gone crazy. Anyway, I discovered that was a mistaken thought process. . .and I hope you did too.

Don’t forget you can express your joy or dismay right here if you wish. Responding is easy. Feel free to comment. I eagerly read them all. And if you need Spiritual help, I am a source of help, or can lead you to someone who will be. Thanks for reading LLOVELETTERS!
