I Am In Agreement

I know almost nothing about the issue – I have seen no pictures, heard no news, have no insider info – only what I have read. I want to speak only to the reality that Government is focusing on promoting wrong so much of the time, and failing to focus on the right that comes from what our society has chosen to condemn.

It’s a difficult to be a conservative Christian these days as our Government seems to promote disobedience rather than compliance to the Truth of God’s Word. Our current focus is on battered women, child abuse, sexual behavior equality and gender confusion. Every one of those items is abhorrent. I won’t speak to those issues here, but I will agree with the following statement by Adrian Peterson, and NFL player who is in a heap of trouble.

The football star said he disciplined his son the way he was disciplined by his own parents, and credited his success to this style of upbringing. “I could have been one of those kids that was lost in the streets without the discipline instilled in me by my parents and other relatives,” he said. “I have always believed that the way my parents disciplined me has a great deal to do with the success I have enjoyed as a man.”  (TIME)

I am not the judge or jury regarding what he has or has not done. But what he says in this quote is exactly what I would say regarding my life and my parents llove for me. In that (and maybe that alone) we are in agreement.
