Carrie Brown in POLITICO made this statement: The confusion comes at a politically sensitive juncture . . . as he attempts to build credibility and a comfort level with women voters and institutional advocacy groups. It followed a major push . . . to court religious voters who hold positions at odds with these advocacy groups. Here’s the problem. There must be no confusion at all regarding where one stands on moral issues.
