Really Good News!!

Sometimes when I read the news (or hear the news as the case may be) I get really excited. It’s because I like good news!

In case you haven’t heard, the government is at risk of shutting down in two weeks. On Nov. 18 the federal government risks running out of funding yet again. . . (Yahoo News)

I have reached the point in my thinking – if Congress isn’t meeting, the President is on vacation, and the Bureaucracy is shut down – nothing terrible can happen from a governmental perspective. That is good news!

Of course, the amazing, exciting and wonderful Good News is that Jesus saves. Redeemed from the curse of sin and death, everything else is relevant only to today. Tomorrow holds the prospect of eternity in God’s Heavenly home and a continued life filled with His infinite llove. That is really, really Good News.
