Thought For The Day

Shipwreck

If you are anything like me, you have wondered what you would do if confronted with a major mishap that did not kill you, but had the capabilities to do so. What would you do when confronted with a raging fire in the plane on which you were traveling which had crashed on landing? What if you were on a ship that ran aground and begin to tilt precipitously and sink into the sea? What if the automobile in which you were riding were hanging over the edge of a bridge, ready to topple off at any second.

Teams were painstakingly checking thousands of cabins on the Costa Concordia for people still unaccounted for after the huge vessel foundered and keeled over with more than 4,000 on board, killing at least three people and injuring 70. (Yahoo News)

The Scriptures remind us that the Enemy has made a “shipwreck” of the lives of multitudes of people you know, and who inhabit your daily walk. They are separated from salvation (through the grace of God) and will surely perish. You, of course, are part of the rescue team. It is your responsibility to find those who are lost, show them the TRUTH of Jesus Christ’s substitutionary death on their behalf, praying that the Spirit of God will call them from death to life,  and return to find more.

Good thought, you say? Well,  what are you going to do about it?
