Take Responsibility
Scripture reminds us that one is to be held responsible for how life is managed. If we are unwilling to do so, we will have great difficulty making our mission match the message.
I am convinced God gives us sufficient grace to be responsible in these five areas:
- Every Thought: 2 Corinthians 10:4-5. What do you think? Is your thought-life captive to Truth?
- Every Word: Matthew 12:36-37. What do you say? Are your words those of edification?
- Every Action: 2 Corinthians 5:10. Do your actions bring glory to God? Do you actions build up the Body of Christ?
- Every Attitude: Romans 14:12-13. Do you have a critical attitude? Are others stumbling over your life?
- Every secret motive: Jeremiah 17:10. Do your “ways” please the Lord? Is there a hidden problem in your life?
We are called to be “on mission” in this life. We cannot do that without absolute trust in Him. We cannot do that if your hearts are impure.
We will fail in our mission if we do not take responsibility for moving toward Christ-likeness!
