Thought For The Day

Then Comes the Rain

Water is life. Rain is often a source of difficulty, pain, suffering, and despair. But without rain our Earth would be unable to function as a viable place for mankind to survive.

The sorrow of death is always the source of struggle. Even when we are aware that our loved one who has transitioned from this life is safe in the arms of our Heavenly Father, there is still the agony of our perceived loss.

Just as so many lovely result follow rain, so the beauty of memories and reminders fill our lives with renewed joy when we allow them to do so. I am often reminded of the touch of someone in the course of my life who has gone on to Glory.

Look for those joys in the memories and reminders of lives that have passed through yours. It is reminiscent of a gentle rain in the heat of an oppressive Summer heat wave.

Thanks Mom and Dad. I remember.
