All New and Unpleasant

Watching our Society maim and destroy itself is distressful for those of us who were hoping our children and grandchildren would grow up in a World certainly no worse than that of our youth. I, for one, should have known better. The growth of evil feeds on the weaknesses of the Church and the unwillingness of  those outside the Kingdom to practice any discipline toward morality and common good.

The latest problem (evidently not new at all) to come to my attention is “revenge porn.” The Texas Legislature is evidently trying to create “Constitutional” laws to deal with the issue. It must be awful to find published in the public arena the sexual impropriety that has been a part of one’s private choice to violate God’s laws regarding sexual behavior.

The solution is (as are so many of the answers for moral issues) easy. Confine sexual behavior to the sanctity of marriage. While, it is possible that a divorce could bring about some of the same difficulty, it has not been a problem in the past – to my knowledge – and most likely will not be in the future.

Suffice it to say that one who plays with fire often gets burned. One who sins will be found out (Numbers 32:23b). Add to the immoral fires burning in our Nation more fuel. We may destroy our great United States of America before God exercises His option on a new Heaven and a new Earth.
