Thought For The Day

Oregon Is So Beautiful. . . (Special: Ugly Post)

but evidently, some of the politicians are laboring under the delusion that the Constitution has been abolished. I know the Feds are trying to get that accomplishment completed, but so far, I have not heard they have been successful.

In one of the most egregious anti-Christian acts committed by a state official in recent memory, Oregon Labor Commissioner Brad Avakian not only upheld the ridiculous $135,000 fine levied against Aaron and Melissa Klein for declining to bake a cake for a lesbian commitment ceremony, but he ordered the Kleins to “cease and desist” from making any public comments about their religious convictions relative to this case.  (GOPUSA)

I know Judges can issue “gag” orders regarding testimony in judicial cases, but who is this Oregon Labor Commissioner, or should it be “Commissar.” Correct me if I am wrong, but I believe the Constitution of the United States of American gives Aaron and Melissa Klein the freedom to say publicly anything they wish to say about their religious convictions.

This whole business of “ordering” what people can and cannot say is getting entirely out of hand.  Next thing you know Politicians will be attempting to tell us they can and will take our money, so they can spend it for “the greater good.” Or they will be telling us we can’t have a gun, or fly an American historical flag, or vote for secession from Washington D. C.  (or Oregon).

I am going to Oregon in August. I think I will call Mr. Avakian and give him a piece of my mind, you know, the part I am “out of.”

Just kidding. I won’t call him. I am trying to stop wasting my time.
