Thought For The Day

Bathrooms And Bullys

The Texas Senate is considering a bill regarding the use of “bathrooms,” which is a hi-tech name for a toilet. In the past we have had men’s and women’s “bathrooms” in public places. Now we are told that there is a problem, and it is not the room itself, but the individuals who want to use the room, i.e., some men want to use the women’s, and some women want to use the men’s. Kids who have no idea whether they are male or female are trying to decide which one they want to use, and they are sometimes “bullied” by other children because of their choice. Adults who want to use one or the other because they can’t decide if they are one or the other, have created a lot of issues and are looking for support from bullies who have to much time on their hands, probably because they are not doing their job in other areas.

Bullying by children has been a problem for about as long as their have been children. But now we have a whole new multitude of bullies. We have the U. S. Government, the NFL and the NBA and the NCAA, not to mention the LGBTQ minority, etc, ad infinitum, who want to bully everyone into allowing such silliness, and often, dangerous behavior. If anyone takes a stand in favor of staying with the process that has worked fairly well over the course of history, there are bullies who are attempting to cajole, shame, and/or force that one into following along with the continual dissolution of morality in our society.

The Church of Jesus Christ is largely silent, of course. We don’t want to “bully” anyone. Meanwhile the Truth of God’s Word is quietly contained within the walls of our buildings where sooner or later we will have to build new “bathrooms.” Or we can just give in and give up. We’re getting used to that.

Thanks for the reminder, the topic is ripe for introducing SPIRITUAL discussions….I guess they just do not want males/females (and for sure, no white males 🙂
